Not Sure When To Use A Mica Top Versus a Metal Top?
All tops are custom fitted, and require no tools! Metal Tops are available in the same 18 powdercoat colors as our cabinets, so they match perfectly. Mica Tops are available in 11 mica laminates, laminated to wood. Mica Tops are more scratch resistant - just like the Mica Tops on your kitchen counters. If you plan to use your top as a working counter surface, you should consider Mica. If you are looking for a stunning top to cap off a side by side configuration, a Metal Top will do the job in perfect harmony. Metal is also the eco-friendly choice.

A Mica Top is a beautiful, and durable, finishing touch to your cabinet or stack of cabinets. Made of the same material as your kitchen counters, they make great work surfaces and distribute the weight of heavier objects like photcopiers to the frame of the cabinet below.

Mica Tops are available in single length, for a single cabinet or stack of cabinets, or double length, for side-by-side cabinets. There are tops for 24" narrow cabinets (TOP24 or TOP47) and for combinations of narrow and standard width cabinets (TOP61). All Mica Tops add 4 inches to the depth of the cabinet, for a total depth of 24 inches. Three inches on one side and one inch on the other. Use the deeper side at the back to conceal electronic wiring or in the front as a counter toe relief.

Our Metal Top features a one inch overhang at the front and sides, consistent with the look and feel of other furniture. It is flush at the back, so your setup can be placed right up against a wall. Simply place the top over your cabinets for a snug fit that adds virtually no height to the setup.

rear overhang. Set it on top of Two Narrow Cabinets on
Legs for the ultimate desk at 77-1/2"W by 1"H by 30 "D
(1" lip at front - 9" overhang at back). It can be used over
two Standard Cabinets to form a bar style setup.
